Here is our little favourite corner of the house. Well, I might love it the most for obvious reasons! It’s probably the most colourful room in the house. Here standing in the girls playroom, is our My Little Nest Playpen, the god sent invention! While I see some parents think that playpens are “cruel”, I strongly believe they should only be used in moderation. It’s my extra set of hands being the only parent in the house (the girls daddy works in Adelaide) when I desperately need a shower, a spare minute to fix dinner, hang the washing or do the dishes. Even Luella loves to throw a blanket over and make a cubby house with it or just to lay next to Emily and play with her tiny little fingers- Winning! I have placed it here so I can see It clearly from the kitchen and the clothes line. It’s so nice to be able to lay Emily down here knowing she is in a safe environment and can be in the same room as Luella especially when there’s little Lego and Sonny Angels everywhere.
Do you have a play pen? What do you do with your baby when you need to do chores? I want to hear your suggestions!

I hear what you are saying, my husband worked away too when the twins were little and now I have three under three you need that peace of mind. I put a baby gate across the baby’s room so the twins can’t get in and Bub can’t get out, then bomb proofed the room. Although if I knew you could get such a nice play pen I would have invested in one! I use our old hand me down playpen to save the Christmas tree from the terrible three! Room looks great Whitney.

I agree play pens are amazing and the kids seem to enjoy it.
I pop my little one in her cot, put some music on and surround her with her fav toys she seems to llove hanging in her own space. It’s her sanctuary whilst I try to look presentable for the day. Great job it looks amazing. I would definately want to play there if I was a kid. X
