Bubs Goat Toddler Milk for the win.

When Emily was about 14 months old, we really had a difficult time trying to work out what was wrong with her bowel.  We had so many doctor appointments and had Emily on all sorts of milk such as Soy and Organic milk. It’s quite stressful to watch them try all these different things. I had so many of you ask me all kinds of questions about Emily’s transition from Cows Milk to Goats Milk, so I thought I’d dive into our decision-making process a little bit more. It’s of course just what we do and it’s totally up to you how you want to feed and care for your little darling.

I breastfed Emily until she was only about 8 weeks old, but by then she wasn’t settling very well with her Milk and was having troubles with her bowel. I talked with Emily’s doctor about Goats Milk and felt relieved when I knew the signs to look for if it was going to be a problem for her. Emily transitioned beautifully to goat milk and has been on it for nearly a year now. The Bubs Goat Toddler Milk is made with easy digestion in mind and is a nourishing and gentle alternative to cow’s milk based products, especially for children with sensitive tummies, allergies/intolerances, digestive issues, congestion and skin conditions.

Bubs Goat Toddler Milk is produced in Victorian pristine countryside. It is the only Australian made Goat Toddler Milk sold in Australian Supermarkets. We love Bubs Goats Milk for this reason. Bubs Goat Milk products are made with easy digestion in mind and are a nourishing alternative for toddlers with sensitive tummies. Naturally digested, our ADVANCED PLUS+ formulation blends the highest quality whole goat milk and goat whey protein with a balanced daily intake of essential fatty acids, vitamins, amino acids, and advanced supplements including Omega-3 DHA, Omega-6 ARA and Prebiotics GOS and FOS. Bubs premium formulation will help nutritionally support comfortable, gentle digestion whilst providing your growing child with all the balanced nutrition they need to support their immune system, growth and development.

I’ve never felt so at ease to finally see that this Toddler Milk does wonders for Emily’s little sensitive tummy. It’s definitely been a tough journey for her.

We buy Bubs Goat Toddler Milk for Emily to drink at my local Coles, also available at Big W, Costco or selected pharmacies.

Emily normally drinks a cup of milk in the morning with her breakfast and a sippy cup of milk before bedtime.

How much milk do you give your toddler? Have you tried Bubs Goat Toddler Milk? I’d love to hear in the comments below!

Thank you Bubs Goat Milk for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.

Our Seaside Adventure

I loved looking at these photos we took on our recent trip. I can almost feel the sea breeze blowing on my face. Feel the salt tickling my nose as i hear the girls laughing and the sound of seagulls flocking in the distance. This little holiday was just what we all needed. One I’ll always cherish.

AMAZING NEW DINING, ENTERTAINMENT & LIFESTYLE PRECINCT ARRIVES AT WESTFIELD CHERMSIDE

Last week you may have seen my InstaStory from when me, the kids and Leigh visited Westfield Chermside’s new dining, entertainment and lifestyle precinct. And it’s all sorts of AMAZING! When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was The Urchin, an enormous and beautiful dome, where you can sit, relax and take it all in.

Our first stop was the wonderful new kids play area (of course!) – I’ve never seen Luella so excited, she loved the trampoline and little rolling hills. Whilst I was waiting for her to burn some of that ‘never-ending’ energy, I looked around and took in all the new surrounding restaurants and cafés and they were so inviting – there are loads of places where Leigh and I can have date nights too – Tapworks Bar & Grill, Fiery Deli and BiN 931, to name a few.

We made our way over to Betty’s Burgers and boy we were ALL in heaven! Leigh was stoked to see there were beers and the girls just wanted to jump right into the Concrete Co ice-cream. I was so happy when I saw shroom burgers on the menu, and it would have to be the best mushroom burger I have ever had! A must-visit for the whole family.

After leaving Betty’s, Leigh offered to take the girls back to the play area while I had some ‘me-time’ to check out some of the new amazing stores (he scored major brownie points!).

Westfield Chermside delivers the goods – they have all the stores you could want and under one roof including, Sephora (I’m so excited I don’t have to drive all the way down the Gold Coast anymore) H&M, Zara, seed, Decjuba, Witchery & Sportscraft and so many more!

There has been a special store that I’ve been waiting to visit for a very long time, White Havana – a doorway to homewares heaven. Think tribal coastal homewares and an amazing floristry all bundled into one dreamy shop.

I may have gotten a little excited and I chose quite a few gorgeous items. I got some crosses and feather decor for the lounge room, some divine cushions and a throw for the couch and a gorgeous sculpture and photo frame for the coffee table. All available at Westfield Chermside now!

I also had to get the girls a little treat too so I headed to Peter Alexander (just outside the dining precinct) and got them some must-have PJs and slipper ugg boots – they loved them and were all cosied up that evening!

Cream Rabbit Peter Alexander PJ Set AUD$39.95

Grey Ugg Boots AUD$59.00

So, make sure you check out the new precinct at Westfield Chermside, and let me know what your thoughts are!

Amart Home Of Kids

I was only just reading my letter that i wrote for Emily’s first birthday and here we are now talking about the day when she sleeps in her BIG bed. Where does the time go seriously?!
Emily has been co sleeping with me on and off since she was born, so transitioning Emily to her big bed was a big thing for us both. I had let Emily play an active role in making the transition by allowing her to choose her bed at Amart Furniture and her new bed toy. I wanted Emily to feel as safe and secure as possible. Allowing her to choose how her bed looks and feels gives her some much-needed control over the situation. And boy it really made the whole process so much easier.

I was so excited to see the new range of Home of Kids at Amart Furniture and Emily had a helluva tricky time deciding between the Kalesi House Bed and the Hopi Teepee Bed and with some help, we came down with the decision of getting the Kalesi House Bed!

Not only do Emily’s new Kalesi House Bed look ever so sweet, it can be also draped with fabric or a big blanket to create miniature play and sleep space that Emily AND Luella absolutely loves.

Watching our kids grow up happy and healthy is the greatest joy for us parents. It’s a time that doesn’t come back, so remember to embrace every moment and play with them as much as you can in this magical room you can create for them. Have fun with your kids and make beautiful memories.

Enter for your chance to WIN your choice of either a Hopi Single Teepee Bed or a Speedy Racer Single Car Bed!
There’s 7 prizes up for grabs with one winner per state.

Our generations with NIVEA Creme

NIVEA Creme, the unsurpassed classic among skin creams, cares and protects all skin types with its rich formula. Our unique preservative-free formulation has remained under lock and key since its birth in 1911.

I am a true NIVEA Creme fan – Every time I open my blue tin, it takes me way back to when I was a teenager. I used to love watching my mother apply it onto her face and hands and how beautiful she smelled. It was like her ‘perfume’. Fast forward 15 years later, I am here without doubt, using NIVEA Creme with my girls. I think it’s so lovely that Emily and Luella love this Creme too. Emily especially, sneaks into the bathroom as if she knows I’m about to crack the blue tin open for a rub and sniff. Talk about a love for a product that’s been used in our family for generations!

I have oily skin that is fussy when it comes to moisturisers because they wind up being too rich or heavy and end up making my face all greasy within hours of application. Even moisturisers that claim to be matte or are formulated especially for oily skin can cause issues, so finding a suitable daily moisturiser has always been a dilemma. NIVEA Creme delivers and maintains efficient hydration so my skin is nourished and yet doesn’t develop into an oily surface film that turns my face all shiny during the day. My favourite good ol’ blue tin is good in so many ways – Now that we are in Winter, I have actually been using it more on my elbows, knees and hands. Luella is already in routine with applying some on her legs as she gets really dry during winter. Excellent – very moisturising, however very light and not at all greasy. I find that I can dress immediately after applying the NIVEA Creme without any marks or residue on my clothes.

NIVEA Creme is mild, yet effective, formula is suitable for use across the body. It can be used to sooth, moisturise and protect your face and body, and will leave your feet and hands feeling soft and supple.

For best skin results:

1. Dip finger into cream.
2. Rub in liberally and evenly on face, body and hands.
3. Apply daily to keep your skin soft and supple.

NIVEA Creme’s balanced formula works hard to moisturise and soothe skin. Key ingredients for moisturisation include lanolin, glycerin and eucerit, a special moisturising ingredient.

Has anyone tried NIVEA Creme before, if so what are your thoughts?

Rooftop Moments on Mother’s Day

Every year I feel like Mother’s Day sneaks up on me before I even know it. This year I wanted to do something unique for Mother’s Day, to make it a day to remember. So we headed to our local Vicinity Centre to pick up some goodies, packed the picnic basket and set out to a local rooftop!

The picnic was next level. The girls were flabbergasted by how high we were in the sky and how the people on the ground looked like little ants. We relaxed, made pictures out of the clouds, read books and loved each other hard! The picnic was made perfect by some pieces I picked up at my local Vicinity Centre in preparation. From heavenly soft cushions to gorgeous picnic essentials, I have rounded up my picks to help you bring the Ultimate Mother’s Day picnic to life!

Carindale Championships

After months of Luella wanting and asking to become an ballerina, Luella went to her very first Ballet class at Westfield Carindale today with Queensland Ballet. Oh how sweet it was to see all the little girls in their tutus! I was expecting some inappropriate bum wiggles and some glorious nose picking from Luella. But she was absloutely besotted by her teacher and her beautiful long legs. It was so lovely to see that Luella stood there with her head nice and high and listened very carefully to her instructions. My baby girl is growing up and she looked absloutely sweet. We love Ballet! Ballet is a great way to encourage children to develop imagination, coordination, strength and confidence.
After class we headed over to get some sushi at Luella’s request and we came across the Carindale Championships.

Carindale Westfield is bringing fun these school holidays as they host the prestigious tennis tournament, The Carindale Championships. Perfectly to match with the UK’s famous Wimbledon! Luella got to play Mini Tennis, coloured in some tennis pictures, tested her back hand skills at Virtual Tennis. Emily chowed down on Strawberries and Cream which were complimentary. Winning! There were also a creative tennis sock art workshop for the kids (Please note that bookings are essential for this activity).

And for the big kids (parents, duh!) you can also embrace the Wimbledon spirit at the complimentary Capi x Pimms Bar in The Glasshouse 7th – 10th July. Boom! Who’s coming with me?

You can find the Carindale Champsionships in the Centre Court and The Glasshouse dining precinct and all activities are free. and the Strawberries and Cream Station and Virtual Tennis will run from 5pm – 8pm on Thursday nights.

Luella Turns Three.

Here I am, sitting in bed with you snuggled in by my side– Doing these sweet little snores. I honestly, couldn’t be happier to sit next to the little you and know that one day, the big you will be able to read this letter.

Luella,
Three days ago, you turned three. Before you woke up on your birthday morning, I laid next to you and ran my fingers through your hair, soaking in your pretty eye lashes and your scrumptious lips. Wishing I could have you this little for. Ever.

I am so proud of the little girl you’re growing into sweetheart. I don’t think anyone would ever understand how special you really are. You have access to two languages. English and Sign Language, due to my deafness and you have more empathy than anyone else I know. You always make sure I never miss out on something whether it’s someone at the door or its your favourite song on the radio. You have taught me so much and at only three years of age… That is truly something marvellous, Luella.

I love you just the way you are. The way you twirl like a ballerina with those random foot skills, the way you scrunch your nose when you smell things, the way you use your beautiful manners, the way you look into my eyes, the way you laugh and the way you live your life. I wouldn’t change one bit about you.

I hope your day was just as special as you are Luella Eve.

Happy Third Birthday!
I love you forever and a day.
